Do you know that feeling when you see the mountain hut in front of you after a wonderful hike? The hike is the goal - but arriving at the Gampenalm is just as rewarding.
An experience
Visual - because this alpine landscape framed by the striking rock towers of the Dolomites is simply magical. Authentic - because hospitality has lived here for decades. Culinary - because up here at 2062 meters a.s.l. the cooking is particularly fine and close to nature.
We are the Messner's
and we have been managing the Gampenalm for over 40 years, well into the second generation.
Sleeping in the mountains
You want a room with a view? In our cozy rooms or in the dormitory you can blissfully start dreaming of the coming day full of new adventures. An overnight stay in the mountains is always a good idea.

The Gampenalm in Villnöss can be reached all year round in just 1 to 1.5 hours on foot from Zans. In winter, however, the way back down is especially fun. A prepared toboggan run leads back to the parking lot and all the way out to Ranui.
In summer, there's a children's playground and plenty of space for our younger guests to let off steam and play in the meadows around our mountain hut.
